So thanks to our great fundraiser, we’re able to shoot this September. We’ll stagger the shoot over weekends and put something together that’ll be fantastic.
More updates later, as I’m thinking of going out to Griffintown in the next couple of weeks with star Thomas Ring for some shooting of the environment as it is now – before it is all changed completely! They are working hard over there, new buildings shooting up everywhere. You can’t believe the number of cranes in such a small place.
Special treat: April, 6th at McKibbin’s, local storyteller JD Hickey is going to be performing some of his stories at our event. He’ll be starting about 8 pm. He’s also going to tell the story that inspired the film, Denis Delaney’s ‘A Saint Ann’s Church Choir Practice’.
Not to be missed! Check out more of JD’s work here:
Kennedy Celtic Boutique in Pointe Claire is donating a Guinness Baseball shirt signed by Warren Cromartie, of the Expos (he’ll be in the shop April 5th to sign it and a picture) for the raffle. All-time fave the Crow on a Guinness shirt? Genius! The prizes and entertainment are making for a great night out. April 6th, McKibbin’s downtown in the Toucan Room.
Thanks to co-owner Donna Dodge for this amazing item; check out her store on the link below!.
Just back from a fantastic trip to the Toronto Irish Film Festival; if we can get ‘Storyteller’ done I’d be definitely trying to get it into their 2013 version as a high priority.
And that Bell Lightbox theatre is absolutely great!
Opening night of the Toronto Irish Film Festival, excellent show put on by Michael Barry, John Galway, Lila Karim and co. ‘Dreaming the Quiet Man’, really fun doc to get things rolling. Lots on the slate today.
